| Hello family, the Coastal Heritage Society invited us to participate in the annual Battlefield Memorial March (parade) on Friday, October 9, 2026, to honor those who fought in the 1779 Battle of Savannah, one of the Revolutionary War’s most pivotal conflicts. | |
| I’m told the walk is a fairly easy and short ; walkers, wheel chairs, strollers etc should have no difficulty on this route. Map of march/walk is below. | |
| As many of you are aware our very own William “fighting Billy” Tipton fought in this battle and a memorial stone was placed in the park in his honor. | |
| This event is free and begins in the parking lot of Savannah History Museum located at 303 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Savannah Ga. 31401 | |
| The march will retrace the soldiers’ footsteps down West Boundary Street and along Louisville Road. | |
| Following the march, a wreath-laying and remembrance ceremony will take place at Battlefield Memorial Park to honor the fallen. | |

| I contacted the Drury hotel management in Pooler Ga. Concerning the “complimentary hot breakfast and the Complimentary Evening drinks and snacks. Below was the response from them. We here at TFAA have not eaten at this place and cannot make recommendations. Please take a look at the menu on the hotels website. |
